Fall, 2020: Recology Sonoma Marin commissioned Artstart for two community murals…at a distance!

Two huge walls. Over 3,000 sq feet. One global pandemic…The intention? To create a mural design that could bring people together… without being together.

Lead by artists Justin Ringlein, Jennifer Mygatt Tatum, and Alina Nuebel, this mural was painted by Recology employees and their families, Elsie Allen High School art students, Artstart apprentices, and many volunteers.

More than 100 people in total contributed work to this mural.
